Product Details
The hardwoods used in these rolling pins include hard maple, cherry, walnut, bubinga, purpleheart, and zebrawood. We combine different woods for the body, while all ends are made of walnut. The unique ends are securely joined to the body with an open mortise and tenon joint, then pegged with a walnut peg for added strength.
These rolling pins are both beautiful and durable, with a diameter ranging from 1 3/4" to 1 13/16". They are available in two lengths: 19" and 23", with options such as bubinga, walnut, purpleheart, or zebrawood paired with hard maple, or walnut paired with cherry, all featuring matching walnut ends.
Finished with food-grade mineral oil, these rolling pins should be washed with warm water and dried thoroughly. To maintain their beauty, apply a coat of mineral oil a few times a year. Each rolling pin comes with care instructions and a sanding sponge.

The Story
Every woodworker has made at least one rolling pin in their career. In my first 25 years of woodworking, I made just one—a large traditional pin with handles. Despite designing and making a line of kitchen wares for several years, we never offered a rolling pin. I wasn't interested in making one unless it was truly unique.
Over two years, I sketched ideas many times but wasn't satisfied. One night, after two hours of frustration, I was about to give up when the design came to me in a flash. I didn’t even need to draw it. Within days, this style of rolling pin was born. I made about a half-dozen from different wood combinations, and from this style, our entire line of rolling pins and unique holders emerged, including the original, first-ever French American rolling pin—a French pin with handles for added control.
Happy Dough Rolling,
Doug Haley
